TITLE: Effects of engaging communities in decision making and action through traditional and religious leaders on fully vaccination rates; a cluster randomized control trial.
The TRL project feedback meeting to share final results from the research project held in two (3) phases. The first was that of the Southern Senatorial District held on Wednesday 14th August 2019. The feedback meetings for the Northern and Central Senatorial Districts held on the 22nd and 23rd August 2019 respectively. All the meetings were in Cross River State, Nigeria
In attendance at the meeting were stakeholders including Traditional and Religious Leaders from the each of the TRL project local government areas (both intervention and control LGAs) in the Senatorial Districts. Each of the LGA teams comprised of the traditional leaders, religious leaders – Christian and Islamic, and the Primary Health Care Directors respectively.
Also in attendance were stakeholders from the Federal and state ministries of health, the national and state primary health care development agency, members of the TRL project team, the Swiss TPH, WHO, AFENET, PAN, NANNM, APHPN, and the Effecctive Health Care Research Programme (EHCAP).
The project results were presented a simplified form using infographics and other visual aids to make for better appreciation of the results by traditional and religious leaders.
